The candidate will work within the policy framework of FCRC in its provision as a holistic Paediatric rehabilitation practice for children with Cerebral Palsy and motor diseases, by contributing to the therapy team to ensure the aims and objectives of the organisation are met.
The Director of Administration & Procurement is involved in the planning, co-ordination and direction of the Friedman Children Rehabilitation Centre.
This position reports to the Centre’s Managing Director and work closely with the Director of Operations to develop and implement performance driven administrative and procurement strategies for ensuring the efficient delivery of support services within the Centre and help achieve FCRC’s objectives.
This role’s responsibilities will include:
Managing the day to day function of the administrative, procurement and non-clinical services
Purchasing Equipment – Monitor and test the effectiveness of therapy equipment, replace failing and outdated and maintain adequate amounts of healthcare supplies.
Manage the recruitment and selection, supervision, appraisal and training of junior administration staff.
Provide administration/supervisor support service to support a wide range of external quality
assessment activities and initiativesManage the processing of expenses claims and payroll
Develop and implement effective policies for all operational procedures
Prepare work schedules
Maintain organized medical and employee records
Train new employees
Ensure prompt ordering and stocking of medical and office supplies
Resolve potential administrative and financial issues with patients
Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations
Manage strategies for ensuring quality and value for money for patients, address complaints and
resolve problemsContribute to setting budgets and maintain finances within tight constraints
Manage contracts and service delivery agreements
Plan and implement strategic changes to improve service delivery
Organize clinical governance and audit
Manage premises, catering, cleaning and security (often via sub-contractors)
Buy equipment and supplies and organise supply stores
Support IT systems and plan new provision and development, sometimes for major projects.
